I’ll be honest, for the longest time I’ve always thought of my “home” as simply a roof over my head. All I cared about was boring and uninspiring functionality. There was no need to invest much thought into the décor or make it my own when I wasn’t sure how long I’d even be there.
But your home space is THE one space for you to add your personal touch and to create the world you wish to live in, regardless of the realities you may face once you step outside your front door. Think of the lifestyle and home you envision for when you're living your best life. Realize there's no reason your current home can't start to reflect that future vision, right now as your reality. Every room in our home reflects our sense of who we are and the life we feel we are worthy of living. For me, transforming my bedroom into a walk-in-closet has really awaken and allowed my more boujee side to flourish! These are some basic essentials to designing your own WIC if you’re looking to make a similar transformation and cross over to a more luxury vibe. Here are a few of my highly recommended purchases I LOVE from Amazon. Each item was definitely more than worth the investment! #1 Clothing Organizer Rack w/ Shelves  
I can not overstate how much this one item has literally transformed the space all on its own! This added so many luxury vibes! It was a bit bigger than I expected, which was good for the size of my wardrobe :) I recommend dedicating an entire wall to the placement of this organizer if you have a standard size room (and you’re not planning on using the L-shaped setup option).
This holds two small closets worth of clothes, some shoes, purses, belts, hats. You simply can not go wrong! Another reason I loved this purchase so much is because when it comes to my wardrobe I’m more of a visual person. I need to see all of my options easily, without having to rummage through a tight space trying to figure out what I might have left to wear. Now my WIC has an added small luxury boutique vibe and it makes me feel like I’m in one whenever I’m picking out what to wear! This is a must for whether you're always in a rush to throw something on or when you're taking your time to plan your look for a fun outing! #2 Vanity w/ Drawers  
Every walk-in closet needs a vanity! This little number is perfect for starters and cute!
Simple, elegant design with a light-up mirror that has several light-up options. It comes with a cute stool for sitting and four drawers for storing other beauty items including jewelry. I keep all of my makeup here and even use the vanity as a backdrop for my videos and photoshoots. (Mine is white and gold, which I don't see available at the time of this blog post) #3 Jewelry Organizer  
This brings me to the next thing every WIC will need, a jewelry organizer.
Just like my clothing, when I’m putting together my outfits or a look I need to be able to see my options easily, without having to rummage through a messy drawer. The drawer space the vanity provides will work if you have a smaller collection, but if you find you are stacking (or just throwing jewelry in the drawer with no organization) it’s worth the investment to have a separate organizer where you can easily find the right pieces for your look! This piece is quick and easy to install with just one person (I did it myself in about 20 min.) and you can easily move the unit around if you want to use the mirror to take photos for the gram! It has tons of storage space for earrings, rings, necklaces, perfumes, belts, and other minor items you may need a place to store. This one is definitely another winner! #4 Shoe Organizer  
Before I forget and still in line with me being able to quickly see and choose my options, this shoe organizer delivered!
I was worried there wasn’t going to be enough room for it to hold all of my shoes, but it was plenty and then some! It even comes with two racks for holding your purses on either side of the unit. Quick, simple setup that you can also do alone! I use it to organize and store my shoes, bags, shades, and a few decorative pieces. I chose not to install the doors so that I could walk in and easily see everything on display. It only takes up about half a wall, leaving plenty of space for whatever other creative ideas you may have in mind! #5 Luxury Rug  
The next key piece to every woman’s WIC is a luxury rug! Whether you have hard floors or carpet a nice, soft, fluffy rug will add an elegant touch to any space.
Walking into my WIC and stepping onto this rug has made the experience in my WIC one where I enjoy walking around and don’t want to leave! And that’s what your WIC should be! It should be a space you LOVE being in and when you think about getting dressed you’re excited about stepping into your own space and creating your look. It feels like a super, secret closet where I walk in and stroll out FABULOUS! Trust me, a soft, fluffy rug is a MUST accessory. This one is so soft you can feel it barefoot, in socks, and even with your shoes on! #WINNER #6 Luxury Sofa  
The final piece every WIC needs will be a nice, comfortable sofa. I went with a modern, pink sofa to add a dash of blush and keep the classy, feminine vibes.
You can decide to go with a long one (which I did) for lounging purposes. Or you may decide to get one or two smaller chairs. Either option is great for any girlfriends (or admiring fans) whom you may invite into your private world.
When I began thinking of my WIC theme and colors I knew I wanted to create luxury, classic, clean, open space vibes. But I also need to keep some functionality to stay organized! The storage pieces delivered and I highly recommend each item. There are just a few small touches I still need to add to complete my WIC luxury experience. Next on my agenda is to upgrade the lighting with a nice chandelier and maybe add some greenery. That should about do it before I turn my attention to renovating my downstairs space.
